Waddington Primary School is one of the Western Australia schools that the BNI
Foundation Australia supports. Pauline Marcoux, WA Foundation Ambassador,
attended the school’s year end awards and Year 6 Graduation ceremony.
It struck Pauline how this school’s values align with those of BNI. Recognition was
an obvious one. It was clear that the teachers knew their students well and provided specific praise to their students. The awards for each year group were:
Endeavour, Citizenship and Achievement. Endeavour relates to BNI value of
Accountability – students taking ownership in their behaviours both in relationships
with others and their learning. Citizenship relates to BNI values of Building
Relationships and Positive Attitude – students doing their best to support other
students, teachers and the school community. Achievement relates to BNI value of
Lifelong Learning – students engaging in their learning to advance their
knowledge/skills to achieve at the next level and keep moving forward.
The Foundation is proud to have been able to support the wonderful education that the Teachers, Principal and staff are providing these students.
